UPDATE: Now the White House is saying that Saddam is still in US custody and has not been turned over to Iraqi officials. Reports are that the US is hesitant to turn over Saddam until hours before execution to avoid any uprising, takeover, and releasing of Saddam by extremists.
UPDATE: News is reporting that Saddam has been turned over to Iraqi authorities for execution. Michelle Malkin has the latest.
According to US military sources, Saddam Hussein is to be executed for his crimes of genocide within 48 hours before the Eid religious observance. I'm going to take a wait and see moment because I don't know whether the punishment will be administered.
Where was the outcry from these same leaders for the genocide victims? They are impotent in their plea for human rights for a savage despot.
